Grading Prince William County
Grading is the method of leveling the land surrounding your home down or up to the same height. Contractors often do this by digging up dirt in the areas of your property that are high and use it to fill out the places that are lower, creating a smooth, even landscape all across your property.
Grading also involves leveling the land away from the property in order to provide natural water drainage, which can prevent future water and flood damage during and after construction. Without proper grading, excess water, such as during heavy rainfall, will flow toward your home. That water will then build up around the foundation, forming cracks and seeping through them, risking the inside of your home to flooding and water damage.
